TOLEDO CellulART
Toledo CellulART is regional scientific meeting sponsored by the American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB). This one-day event is held at the Frank Gehry-designed Center for Visual Arts at the University of Toledo and aims to bring together the art and scientific communities of Northwestern Ohio, Southern Michigan, and Northeastern Indiana to appreciate the link between art and science while also promoting collaboration, interaction, and discussion between researchers working with the cytoskeleton. The meeting includes poster and oral presentations from graduate and undergraduate students, as well as invited faculties and world-renowned keynote speakers and has been highlighted in the ASCB newsletter, UT News, and The Blade. Toledo CellulART has helped integrate the research efforts at the University of Toledo with other Universities in the region, it has fostered new collaborations, and exposes graduate and undergraduate students in our program to state-of-the-art research. Toledo CellulART is on its way to becoming an annual tradition as we are now working on the third edition (Sept. 27th, 2019).
